4. Notes on the trekking route

● Our trekking route will not be challenging in terms of height although we will have to climb small slopes. Most of the time we will go on trails connecting villages to other villages. Some sections will be through the forest but not too dense. The path is not difficult but you need to wear trekking shoes or trail running shoes. You can use sandals for trekking (Keen style).

5. Camping at Eye of God mountain & homestay in Khuoi Ki village

● Umove Adventure will provide 2-person, 3-person, 4-person tents at the camping site (glamping) of our partner Ecocamp. The tents have mattresses and blankets. At this camping site, there are toilets, bathrooms and other amenities to make your camping experience the most comfortable.

● At Khuoi Ki village, UA will use the traditional house of the Tay people in this famous stone village. Depending on the time of booking, we will arrange a dormitory (on 1 floor) or private rooms for 2, 3, 4,... people. The homestay has a toilet and a hot shower.

6. Food & drinks

● The meals on the tour are quite diverse and have many "local identities". If you are on a diet or vegetarian, you need to inform the UA's operator in advance to prepare suitable food for you. In case you have special dietary requirements that we cannot meet (for health, medical, religious reasons, ...), we recommend that you prepare your own food.

● Drinking water will be provided daily at a rate of 2L/person/day. Umove Adventure encourages customers to limit the use of disposable plastic and nylon products, so we recommend that you bring a water bottle (reusable type) to get water from the large bottle we provide.

● Alcoholic beverages are not allowed while trekking. Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks are not included in meals.

7. Protecting the environment together

● Umove Adventure supports and practices Leave No Trace principles in each program and outdoor activities itself. We also encourage our customers and partners to apply to Leave No Trace principles when traveling in the outdoor environment. See details about the Leave No Trace tại đây

● In order to limit the use of single-use plastic, Umove Adventure encourages each of us to prepare for ourselves a bottle of water with a 1L capacity for daily water refilling.

● On the tour, tourists comply with the instructions and regulations on environmental protection at the destination.

8. Medical assistance

● If you have cardiovascular disease or bone and joint diseases (knees, ankles, shoulder joints, etc.), you should consult your doctor before deciding to join the trip.

Hỏi & đáp về tour
1. What is the best time to go for this program?

Cao Bang is beautiful in every season, but each season has its own unique highlights. If you visit during the Lunar New Year, you will see peach and plum blossoms like in other regions of the East and Northwest. In October, you can admire the terraced fields during the rice harvest. From December to January, it's the season when the maple leaves in Trung Khanh change color, creating a beautiful landscape reminiscent of Europe. Perhaps the least appealing season is the rainy period around July and August.

2. What is the age limit for children to participate in this program?

UA recommends that children aged 13 and older can participate in this program with their parents or adults.

3. How much is the deposit required for registration? When will the remaining amount be paid?

When registering for the tour, customers must pay a 50% deposit via bank transfer or credit card through Onepay. The remaining 50% must be paid at least one day before departure, also via bank transfer or credit card through Onepay.

UA will not confirm the booking until the deposit for the tour has been received.

4. If I have no trekking experience, can I still join this program?

This is a moderately difficult outing (6/10), suitable for most people, including those with little trekking experience. The terrain in the forest is not very steep, and the daily trekking distance is about 6 km. However, you should refer to the notes and preparation guidelines for a 6/10 difficulty trip here.

5. If I am vegetarian (or have dietary restrictions), will the tour accommodate that?

You will need to inform Umove Adventure about your vegetarian or dietary requirements before booking the tour. We will check if the destination can meet those needs and get back to you. Generally, Umove Adventure will have vegetarian options available depending on the tour location.

6. What camping equipment will Umove Adventure provide on this tour?

Please refer to the Equipment section in the tour details.

7. Can I bring my pet (dog/cat) along?

Umove Adventure does not organize tours specifically for customers with pets, so bringing a pet will depend on the agreement of other passengers on the tour. If you want to bring your pet, Umove Adventure will ask the others in the tour for their consent, and you will be fully responsible for ensuring hygiene and the safety of your pet.

8. Will I have to pay extra if I want to sleep in a private tent?

Usually, for group tours (if you are traveling alone), Umove Adventure will assign travelers of the same gender to share tents. For a private tent request, depending on the tour departure date and if we have private tents available, Umove Adventure is ready to arrange a private tent for you at no additional cost. However, if we do not have enough tents and need to rent more, there will be an additional fee (which will be communicated to you at the time of booking).

9. Can I postpone/cancel the tour before the departure date?

Depending on how far in advance you cancel or postpone, there may be a fee. If you wish to change the departure date or switch to another tour, Umove Adventure will accommodate your request and may charge a fee (or not). Please see our Cancellation Policy for details.
