Ha Noi - Cuc Phuong forest (National Park) - Primate Rescue Center - Bong campsite - Ha Noi

06:00 - Being available at the meeting point to meet the UA tour guide. Getting in the car and heading to Ninh Binh. Guests are responsible for their own breakfast. The vehicle will stop at a rest station on the highway.

09:30 - Arriving at Cuc Phuong National Park. Meeting forest rangers and visiting the Primate Rescue Center, where many of Vietnam's rare primate species, such as the white-buttock langur, red-shanked douc, and gibbons, etc are being cared for and preserved. Learning about the conservation efforts of the center and the various primate species.

10:30 - Getting back on the vehicle and heading to Bong Campsite, the central area of the National Park. Preparing your gears and receiving food for the picnic.

11:30 - Trekking into the forest. Our trekking route through the old-growth forest has not too many challenges but it is truly wild. Being far away from other tourists, we will explore an area with many ancient trees that are hundreds of years old.

12:30 - Having a picnic lunch in the forest. After lunch, we will continue trekking along the trail and learn about Cuc Phuong’s flora and fauna through the insights shared by the forest rangers and tour guide.

14:00 - Going out of the forest and returning to Bong at the end of our trek. Cleaning up, relaxing, and enjoying a cold drink at Bong.

15:00 - Getting in the car and heading back to Hanoi. Arriving in Hanoi will be around 19:00, finishing the tour.

Difficulty of the activity

Difficulty Level (4/10): Everyone can participate, including children. The activities are gentle, so no physical preparation or prior experience is needed. The tour typically lasts 1-2 days. For trekking tours at this level, the trek time is about 1 to 2 hours per day, with easy terrain. Kayak or SUP tours at this level involve paddling for 1 to 2 hours per day, with plenty of time for photo stops and breaks.

● The customers who buy adventure tours from Umove Adventure have enough awareness about the level of challenge as well as other physical challenges and other potential dangers during the tour. 4. Trekking Notes

● The trekking route length is approximately 6 to 7 km. We will be walking on fairly open trails with minimal uphill sections.  

● This trekking route is suitable for most people, especially those who are new to trekking. Children aged 6-10 can also join this tour. 

5. Protecting the environment together

● In order to limit the use of single-use plastic, Umove Adventure encourages each of us to prepare for ourselves a bottle of water with a 1L capacity for daily water refilling.

1. What is the best time to join this program?

Cuc Phuong National Park offers beautiful experiences throughout the year. From October to March, the cool autumn and winter weather makes it ideal for trekking and camping deep in the forest. 

 

2. What age is this program suitable for?

Children aged 12 and above can join this tour if accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

 

3. Can I join the tour if I am traveling alone?

Yes, this is an open tour, so you can join by yourself. However, the tour requires a minimum of 5 participants to depart. If the minimum number isn’t met, Umove Adventure will notify you one week in advance so you can either reschedule or receive a refund of your deposit.

 

4. Can I join this program if I have no trekking experience?

This is an outing with an average difficulty level (6/10) so it is suitable for most people, even those without much trekking experience. The terrain in the forest is not very steep and the trekking distance per day is only about 6 km. However, you should refer to the notes and instructions to prepare for a trip with a difficulty level of 6/10 here. 

 

5. How much deposit do I need to make when booking? When is the remaining payment due?

Customers are required to deposit 50% of the total cost via bank transfer or card payment through Onepay. The remaining 50% must be paid no later than one day before the departure, also via bank transfer or credit card through Onepay.  

Umove Adventure will not confirm your booking until the deposit is received.

 

6. Can the tour accommodate my dietary needs if I’m vegetarian or have food restrictions?

You must inform Umove Adventure of your dietary needs when booking, and we will check if the destination can meet your requirements. Generally, Umove Adventure offers vegetarian options, depending on the tour’s location.

 

7. What camping equipment does Umove Adventure provide for this tour?

Please refer to the "Equipment" section in the tour details. 

 

8. Can I bring my pet (dog/cat) on the tour?

Umove Adventure does not specifically offer tours for travelers visiting with their pets. It depends on the approval of other tour participants. If you wish to bring a pet, Umove Adventure will ask the group’s consent. You will be fully responsible for maintaining hygiene and ensuring your pet’s safety. 

 

9. Is there an extra fee if I want to have a private tent?

For open group tours (if you’re traveling alone), Umove Adventure typically arranges for guests of the same gender to share a tent. If you prefer a private tent, we can provide one at no extra charge, depending on availability at the time of departure. If additional tents are required, there may be a small fee (you will be informed at the time of booking). 

 

10. What are the arrangements for toilets and showers during the trip?

The buried toilet type will be used on trips deep into the forest, the rangers will arrange a discreet location, ensuring privacy for you. Bathing will depend on the water source in the forest or depending on the time of year, if the destination has an abundant water source, the accompanying ranger can take water from the source to prepare for everyone to bathe.

 

11. Is there phone reception at the campsite?

You may get some signal at the entrance of Cuc Phuong National Park, but as you move deeper into the forest, phone reception will no longer be available. 

 

12. Can I postpone or cancel the tour before the departure date?

You may incur a fee depending on how far in advance you cancel or postpone your trip. If you wish to change your departure date or switch to a different tour, Umove Adventure will reschedule you and apply a fee (or not). Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for details.
