Tour overview

Hoang Su Phi, a district nestled within Ha Giang province, stands as one of the most captivating destinations in the Northwest for avid trekkers and terraced-field photography enthusiasts. Here, endless terraced rice fields cascade gracefully through lush green mountains and winding, crystal-clear streams.

(Optional add-on: To elevate your Hoang Su Phi experience to the fullest, consider combining this journey with our scenic paragliding tour to soar above the magnificent golden terraces).

The trail is not difficult, but trekking shoes or trail running shoes are required. You may also use trekking sandals (such as Keen-style sandals). The average trekking time per day is about 5-6 hours, including rest time.

Q&A
1. What is the best time to go on this program?

Ha Giang is beautiful in every season, but each season has its unique highlights. If you go during the Lunar New Year, you will see peach and plum blossoms like in other regions of the Northeast and Northwest. From October to December, the buckwheat flowers bloom, covering the fields in Meo Vac and Dong Van. March is the season for beautiful red silk cotton flowers. Additionally, there are white and yellow mustard flowers blooming in winter. The summer months from April to September are very suitable for SUP and kayak tours on the Nho Que River. Therefore, it’s hard to say which season is the best to visit Ha Giang.

2. What age is this program suitable for children?

UA recommends that children aged 10 and older can participate in this program with their parents or adults.

3. Can I join the tour if I am going alone?

This is a group tour, so you can join the tour by yourself. However, the minimum number of participants for the tour to proceed is 8 people. If the minimum number is not reached, UA will notify you at least one week in advance so that you can decide to change the departure date or receive a refund of your deposit.

When registering for the tour, customers will need to pay a deposit of 50% of the total amount via bank transfer or credit card through Onepay. The remaining 50% must be paid no later than one day before the departure date, also via bank transfer or credit card through Onepay.

UA will not confirm the booking until the tour deposit is received.

5. Can I join this program if I have no trekking experience?

This outing has a moderate difficulty level (6/10) and is suitable for most people, including those without much trekking experience. The terrain is easy to navigate, not steep, and the daily trekking distance is about 6 km. However, you should refer to the notes and guidelines for preparing for a trip of this difficulty level (6/10) here.

If you wish to bring a pet on the tour, Umove Adventure will ask the other participants if they agree, and you will be fully responsible for maintaining cleanliness and the safety of the pet.

10. What about restrooms and bathing during the trip?
